The NTRIPNetworked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol communication standard allows GNSS correction data to be received over the Internet. NTRIP can be used in addition to Fugro's L-band correction services, beamed from satellites in geosynchronous orbit over the Equator.
Because NTRIP is outside of Fugro's control, we are unable to ensure consistent correction delivery over this transport mechanism, so NTRIP has to be regarded as a back-up technology, that may be useful to users operating in high latitudes, or to provide redundancy in environments where structures might obscure the antenna's line-of-sight to the correction satellites.
