NTRIP stands for Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol, and allows GNSS correction data to be received over the Internet. NTRIP can be used in addition to Fugro's L-band correction services, beamed from satellites in geosynchronous orbit over the Equator.

Because NTRIP is outside Fugro's control, it is unable to ensure consistent correction delivery over this transport mechanism, so NTRIP has to be regarded as a back-up technology, that may be useful to users operating in high latitudes, or to provide redundancy in environments where structures may obscure the antenna's line-of-sight to the correction satellites.
